11th rambling festival

If you're looking for something great to do, you might want to consider the rambling festival. It's in its eleventh year now, so it's much more organized and ready to go than it was when it first got started. It was created because people like to walk around and see nature, and it's a very popular thing to do throughout the UK and surrounding areas. With that in mind, getting together and 'rambling' around the area is great fun for people of almost all ages. Young and old alike, and people from various and sundry backgrounds, can come together and walk, enjoying the beauty of nature. There will be walks during the festival, of course, ranging from three miles all of the way up to twelve miles. Refreshments will also be served when the walks are completed, and donations for these refreshments are appreciated.

No matter whether you like to walk and hike, or whether you're just coming out in support of those who are dedicated to helping others enjoy their walks, there will be something for you to do at the festival. It's held in the summer when the weather is good, but there are other rambling festivals held in specific areas at different times of the year, as well. Because walking is such a popular pastime in the UK, it's no surprise that more than one place would have a festival like this and that it would continue year after year. People are going to keep coming back to what they enjoy, and when it can honour their fellow man (or woman) who has helped them enjoy that pastime all year round, it's a great reason to get together. Each year the festival gets better and better, so if you've never been to it this might be the year to go and enjoy it with your friends and family.
