Affiliate Marketing is blowing up in popularity as the hot new way to make money on the internet. Its popularity is soaring because it can help people make money on the side or even help pull in a full time income if a person is dedicated enough to it. Forget the people that are telling you its too hard to get started if you don't know such and such programming languages or how to design a perfect web layout! I'm going to give you the low down on how you too can get into affiliate marketing, even if you don't know where to start.
The term of affiliate marketing is so surprisingly simple even though it may seem a little complicated at first. In layman's terms all it means is that you are selling a company's products, and in exchange for your salesmanship, they are going to give you a nice little compensation. Not too shabby, eh?
This is where everyone brings up the question of, "How do I sell this stuff dude?" Valid question, but first let's take a look at what we're going to sell instead of how we're going to sell it just yet. Or better yet, how do we find things to sell? All joking aside, there are probably millions of affiliate programs out there for every different niche you could think of. Ebay? Yep. Amazon? Of course. Larry's Lifesize Ant Farms? For sure. Here let's test it out, go check out your favorite online retailer right now, and look at the bottom of the page for a link that will usually be called "affiliates". Once you find the page, you should read through their terms and make sure you find out what kind of commission they offer on products that you would want to promote. Some websites offer great commission percentages, and others don't, so do your research!
So we've got our product, great! This is where the fun part starts, we get to pour our heart out on why we love this product so much. What you do now is write up a great article telling people why they should make this purchase. This is where good, creative writing skills are going to help increase your income tenfold. We now are going to submit our perfect articles to article directories. To find these just type "article directory" into Google, and the more you submit to the better. The higher number of directories you submit to, the better of a turnout you will have with this venture. You should notice a section of each submission form called the resource box. This is where you want to put your affiliate link for the product so they know how to get to it and you still get credit for the sale.
Was this so terrible? No way! What you have completed is referred to as article marketing, good job! This is a proven method of making some cash without a huge time investment, and once a person gets it nailed down can have awesome results. It was my goal here to show you a simple way of getting into affiliate marketing, hopefully a few of you will take this even further and explore other methods as well.
