Applying for a Bad Credit Car Loan

By: Dion Powell

In today's America 43% of the population spends more than they earn every year. That is almost half of us. Five dollars here, fifty dollars there, and then before you know it you are in debt hundreds and thousands of dollars. Much of this debt is accrued from medical bills, credit cards and mortgage loans. The average American household debt is more than $10,000. Now, given these statistics, which is one of the most convenient means of doing your every day work? It's your car! Imagine how hard it would be if you didn't have your own car. There are a lot of people out there who don't have their own way of getting around, but I can guarantee that those people would prefer to have their own car. I have traveled the city by bus before and I would absolutely pick my own car over it any day!
There are a lot of different things that can ruin your credit score, for instance, when you are at a counter and the clerk asks if you wish to open a credit card account to use it today and get a 15% discount. I would definitely agree in the past, though now I would rather say no because when anybody views your credit history, your credit score then drops a certain number of points even if you don't get the card. For those of us who have credit cards also know that missing a payment can cause your credit score to drop. It takes up to 7 years to build your credit score back up, especially if you declared that you were bankrupt, we cannot wait for 7 years to buy a car. Bad credit auto loans were established to help people even with bad credit to own our own cars. Another sound reason to obtain a bad credit car loan is to repair their credit.
The first type of a bad credit car loan is a secured one. It is secured by property of the borrower, this allows the lender to lower the risks. If the client fails to meet the payments of the loan it is probable that the lender will get the asset the loan was backed on. It may sound risky but you may obtain low interest rates, the possibility of a greater amount to borrow, smaller payments each month, and a longer loan term.
Unsecured loans don't demand collateral or personal securities, the money is delivered more quickly, and there is minimal paperwork involved. However, unsecured loans could have larger monthly payments, rather high interest rates, and a reduced amount available to borrow.
Spend some time searching for information and requesting quotes. Patience is truly a virtue when it comes to finance. This is vital for any financial endeavor. It can save you a lot money and hassle in the long run. Who could ask for more?
