Cell Phone Magic

Cell phone has turned the world of communications upside down! Telephones (regular landlines) were once everybody’s favorite medium of communication and this medium has taken such a different shape in the form of cell phones. Referred using various names such as cell phone, cellular phone, mobile phone, hand phone, etc., cell phones have become an all-in-one communication and entertainment gadget. Today, cell phones are loaded with so many features which make them such a powerful tool. They have built-in camera to shoot still photos and video, MP3 player to play your favorite music that replaces the iPods, FM radio, Bluetooth, WiFi and much more. Mobile network operators make cell phones all the more powerful by providing their customers with GPRS. When cell phones are internet enabled there is no equal to this tool.

Cellular phones have become such an indispensable part of our life which makes us wonder how we ever managed to live without cell phones before it was invented. The popularity of this device was mainly due to its portability. It can easily be carried in one’s pocket and with every new model they are becoming sleeker; some of the models are so slim that they can be almost used as a book marker.

No wonder, people are crazy about cell phones, there are people who continuously shop around for cell phones and buy every new model and they get addicted to cell phone shopping. If we are not little careful we too can easily succumb to this cell phone fever.

There is a great variation among the cell phones in terms of their features and the price. You can enjoy all the features only when you do not hesitate to shell out a decent amount of money from your pocket. When it comes to cell phones, it is just not a one time investment. The initial amount you pay is only the cost of the gadget and for your mobile phone to be of any use you need to signup with one of the mobile phone operators. This leads to recurring expense and this recurring expense can sometimes get totally out of hand making you pay an enormous amount of money.

You can either go for prepaid cell phone plans or for post paid plans. Prepaid plans are much safer because with your postpaid plan you can easily end up with a huge bill. There are combo offers that sell both the handset and the talk time for a specified period of time. Such offers are often attractive but the only disadvantage is that you will have to be tied up with your cell phone operator for a period anywhere between one to two years. You will be able to use the SIM card of other operators only after this lock-in period.

There are many cell phone operators and AT&T wireless cell phones have been one of the pioneers of this industry and they are growing stronger as people still love AT&T.
