Free Softwares For Blocking The Malicious Content

Free Software That Satisfy Every Need

The business models of free software are used by various organizations for support, training, integration, customization and certification.

Free software is studied, used and modified without any restriction with either verbatim or modifications by the users. Such software’s can also be copied and distributed by any user along with a notice that grants user the permission of doing it. The notice is a free software license, which indicates that the source code has been released into the public domain.

The binary and executable program forms of free software are also distributed in modified and unmodified versions. The software can be modified by merging the available free subroutines and modules.

At the same time, some business models, which work with proprietary software, are not compatible with free software, such as those that depend on a user having no choice but to pay for a license in order to lawfully use a software product.

Different free software
The Copylefted software is free software whose all copies of all versions can be distributed free. The copyleft licenses require the source code for using the software but disallow any addition of further requirements by the users.

Non-Copylefted free software
Non-Copylefted free software has the permission of the author to redistribute and modify the software by the users. Some additional restrictions are also added to it. If the program is not copylefted then some of its versions might not be free to the users.

Most of the free software are copyrighted and are not in the public domain but the copyright holders give legal permission of using software to everyone by providing free software license. If a program is free but not copylefted, then some copies or modified versions may not be free at all. Sometimes software companies compile the program either with modifications or without it and then distribute the executable file of the software as a proprietary software product.

Security and reliability
Proprietary software is assumed as more secure softwares as compared with the free software especially for the security through obscurity. There is a quantitative test for checking the software security that includes use of relative counting of known unpatched security flaws. The products with no fixes for known security flaws should be avoided until a fix is available. The proprietary software does not have any published flaws but by modifying the source code one can easily analyze bugs and flaws in the software.

Government also put constraint on free distribution of programs internationally through export control regulations and trade sanctions.

Advantages
Free software has enhanced the development of the Internet and boosts the infrastructure of dot-com companies. Free software is just like a public good that is available to the people free of cost. Free software is available for commercial use, development and distribution. The free software is used differently according to specific needs of business. The software is changed and modified with the help of programmers to fulfill the desired requirements of the business.

Nobody takes any legal liability of the free software and there is no warranty of such softwares. Nevertheless, in some cases warranties are permitted between the two parties depending upon the usage and condition of the software.
