Only a few solutions can work immediately after you copy them onto your HDD. A lot of them require you to create an installation by means of a software installer. The majority of solutions you come across these days are released as a distributive. Developers who want to save time or customer support service costs can choose to employ an open source or commercial installation maker. If you work with Windows operation systems, you could take advantage of Microsoft Windows Installer that helps developers create installations. IntstallShield and SetupBuilder are two more installation software programs for Microsoft Windows platforms. Most such programs make packages that offer a typical experience for users installing different solutions. Not happy with commercial install creator applications? There are also a couple of nice open source applications available. Check out Clickteam Install Creater and Innosetup, to name a few. Many software programs nowadays are developed for more than 1 system. It is often quite a hard job to create various installation setups for different platforms. If each installation creator for each platform be it Linux, Windows XP, Mac OS or some other system was developed individually, it would require additional workload, that is extra time in development and testing to assure a satisfactory experience to users. The good news is, though, that you there exists a number of cross-platform installation software programs. For example, InstallAnywhere that is a commercial install creator, or an open source Java install maker for different systems called IzPack. What has been placed onto your computer one time, may have to be removed later. In the past some applications contained no uninstallers, so some 3rd-party uninstallers were used. However, these days most software programs feature solid uninstallers, so you need not think a lot about obtaining a different program to erase things off your system. But third-party uninstallers have not vanished just yet. One of the reasons for that is that some applications prefer not to get rid of themselves completely leaving some features behind. An additional challenge that such programs may assist with is erasing Trojan and spyware. If the soultion you have just installed appears to show some inadequate intentions, a 3rd party uninstaller may prove to be the very useful. If you would like a better way to supervise cache memory or temporary folders, uninstallers are what you need.
