I don't know a thing about you, but I bet you may not know how to deal with your bad credit. So what do I mean by bad credit? And how do I settle them? Well, if you have been asking yourself the same question, please read this article for more information.
I am going to cover about bad credit repair in this article. First and foremost we need to understand what bad credit is. In order to understand, I need to tell you the meaning of bad credit.
Bad credit is a financial industry term used to describe someone who is considered a "high risk" to lenders and other finance companies. The reason is due to repayment history of loans, mortgages and other financial aid. This type of borrower usually considered to be at a higher risk of defaulting on their payment obligations set forth by the lender.
When it comes to bad credit, there can be a couple of types. But you have to understand that when someone is having bad credit, that person has a history of not paying up or not paying on time.
Hence, here are the 7 tips:
1) Pay all your bills in time. Late payments have a negative effect on your credit rating
2) Reduce the number of credit cards you carry. Write to your creditors to request that they close your accounts and report this status change to all three credit-reporting agencies.
3) Avoid bankruptcies, tax liens (a lien for not paying state or federal income taxes or property taxes) and collections. If you have a past record of bankruptcy, it stays with you for up to 10 years. Collection accounts and paid tax liens stay on for seven years, and unpaid tax liens will haunt you forever.
4) Request in writing that your creditors reduce the credit limits on your accounts to lower your amount of available credit. The total amount of available credit is considered by lenders even if you owe nothing.
5) Ask a family member or friend to co-sign on a small loan or credit card to help you re-establish credit. Make sure that you pay your amount on time.
6) Get a secured credit card to help reestablish your credit. You will have to keep a designated amount of money in an account that will be sufficient to cover your charges. As usual, make all payments on time.
7) Get a yearly copy of your credit report to catch any errors
Your goal? Start utilizing these tips and repair your bad credit. Put these tips to good use and clear all your debts. Good luck!
