With the 'C' in 'C902' standing for Cybershot, no prizes to guessing exactly what aspect the Sony Ericsson C902 focuses predominantly on. Of course, there are many mobile phones with cameras, but for a high end mobile phone to build itself around the camera aspect normally implies that it is going to offer the very best, and latest, in that avenue. Certainly, the C902 does live up to its name, seemingly, and could have done very little to improve upon the features that it has.

One of the best features, it must be said, is the BestPic feature. For anyone who has tired of having to take photos again and again due to the fact that some slight movement threw a pose off, or a blink ruined an image, the BestPic feature is Sony Ericsson's solution to an age old problem. By automatically taking 9 pictures in the space of a second, and then allowing the user to pick which one he or she feels is best, the C902 gives greater flexibility and at the same time drastically lowers the hassle involved with photographing.

Naturally, the Sony Ericsson comes with the normal features of mobile phones too, but truly these seem to be merely there to complete the package. With the Cybershot, the real and true concentration is directly on the camera and its associated functions.

Whether you plan on being a world renowned photographer, or simply enjoy taking the occasional picture for the sake of memory, the C902 allows a lot of flexibility while at the same time ensuring that the slim, stylish exterior is not compromised.

For any of Sony Ericsson's rivals that are interested in out performing the C902 with some great mobile phone deals of their own, they face an uphill battle. As a camera, and more than that, as a phone, the Sony Ericsson C902 does well within the niche that it was built to occupy.

Seeing as there is little, if anything that can be improved upon with the C902 has been, it would be interesting to see what the next has to offer, or even what a rival's response to the C902 would be. If things continue who knows what the camera phones of tomorrow may be.
